Our Approach

At KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy, inquiry- based science classes are taught from 5 – 8 grade. Students leave campus for a field lesson once a quarter and have an end of the year trip. Every morning, students have leveled reading time. Each Wednesday, we come together to celebrate students’ weekly accomplishments with grade level team and family. Theater, art, PE, or yoga are offered as electives each day, and students can take on leadership opportunities with student government and homeroom representatives.To check in on progress, KIPP SF Bay has quarterly parent-teacher conferences with all students and families. We believe in a restorative approach for classroom management and school-wide discipline. Social-emotional lessons are essential to a KIPP SF Bay education and students practice restorative circles in homeroom every Wednesday. All students have access to a Chromebook in all classes.
